WE DID IT!!
Over 300 of people came together and helped bring City of the Shroud to life. We cannot thank our backers enough for their support, and are so, so excited to share this journey with everyone.
You can read more about what happens next over on our Kickstarter update:
Once we get everything from Kickstarter sorted, we'll be sending out the latest build to backers via Steam.
Stay tuned for updates! And now, it's time for a nap!

City of the Shroud’s Kickstarter is now live! Click the link below to back the campaign:
We hope that you’ll support us today - our last campaign taught us that first-day backers have a powerful ripple effect that influences the entire campaign, so your support is amplified!
Thank to our fans and supporters, City of the Shroud is already Greenlit on Steam - so every backer will get a Steam key with early access builds as soon as the campaign ends!
People spoke up after the last campaign, and we listened! We’ve got a bunch of new backer rewards, including t-shirts, hoodies, and other add-ons. Be sure to check out our Kickstarter page for details.
We’ll also be at EGX Rezzed this week showing the game, so if you’re going, come say hi! We’d love to meet you in person.
Thank you for supporting City of the Shroud, and we hope that you’ll back our campaign. We can’t wait to bring this story to life with you!

We’ve released version 0.0.12 of the prototype, just in time for our Kickstarter! There’s a lot of under-the-hood stuff going on in this build, but the initial controller layout is fully implemented for you to try out! Download it here:
0.0.12 Patch Notes
Reworked nearly all the under-the-hood login stuff - with any luck, this will stop the bug where new players couldn’t use the UI on their first time opening the game (eesh)
Overall menu system should be working better and have a more uniform appearance
Minor difficulty adjustments to a couple of encounters in the story preview
Tutorial wording has been adjusted for clarity
Fixed a visual bug with the Mage’s staff
Water should now appear in the Docks stage on Fast settings
Quest tracker visuals should work better
We hope you enjoy it, and please check out our Kickstarter when it launches later today!

We’re happy to announce that the final episode in the Kickstarter preview campaign, along with our first-ever boss fight, is available for download! See the story through to its conclusion and get a sneak peek at what’s coming in the main game. Download it here:
We’ve also added some cool new features: controller support and New Game+!
The controller support is still early - please send us feedback on the setup! That said, it feels pretty good for an initial implementation.
With New Game+, you can go back and replay the preview campaign against a much stronger, smarter set of opponents. Of course, you get to keep all your stat gems and abilities, so you should be able to eke out a victory if you practice…
We hope you enjoy the final episode of the preview campaign, and please let us know what you think. That’s how we’ll make the final game even better, after all!
0.0.11 Patch Notes
Episode 4 is now available (Must have backed Kickstarter to access)
New Game+: If you finished the preview campaign, you can now go back and play it again against stronger and smarter opponents - plus, you get to keep your items!
New abilities and stat gems accessible
Controller support: you can now play the game with a controller - send feedback!!!
